Easter At The Carson House

We had a nice and relaxing Easter this year! For a few years now, we've stuck to our tradition of staying in Ankeny for the weekend and if any family members or friends want to join us, they may! It's been great being able to go to our own church on Easter and keep things simple, celebrating the true reason for Easter... instead of spending the weekend traveling...which is quite stressful with two kids and a dog! We also like to have our friends come over and join us, who don't have other plans, and this year our friend Angie spent the day at our place.

We went to church Saturday night, so Sunday morning Joel and Molly opened their baskets....Joel LOVED the $1 Lightning McQueen socks I got from Michaels :)

Then when Molly went down for a nap, we got to dy'in the eggs... and spilling of course.... there was no stopping Joel from reaching right down into the cups of dye to get the eggs out. By the time we were done, his fingers were nice and colorful

Then the Easter Bunny showed up!!

And it was time to hunt for some eggs.... Barkley helped of course

After the successful hunt, we came back inside to open up Easter Basket #2 (Thanks so much G & G Carson!)

Naps were had by all, then I went to Rock of Ages with Angie! It was a blast! I highly reccommend it!! (Thanks for taking me Angie!)
