So alot of people have asked me how the weather was down in Phoenix. Every single day it was very hot, not humid, and it never rains. At least in the Spring it doesn't. There was no need to watch the weather channel at all, we knew it would be 90+ degrees every day with no rain possibility, but it's honestly not humid. It's still wicked hot, but it doesn't stick to you like Iowa humid hotness does. My dad would like it there, because you don't have to rely on shady meteorologists to tell you what the weather would be like..... it was pretty predictable!
Anyways.....
Wednesday the 27th: In the morning we went to the Phoenix Zoo with Zach, Stacy and Jesse. The zoo was cool, but because it is so hot, the animals aren't playing around and showing off. They just sit in the shade and sleep alot. That night Grandma and Grandpa Carson watched Joel while we went on a date with Zach and Stacy. We ate dinner at a cool mexican restaraunt and sat by the bar with some Coronas while listening to a couple of girls sing and play guitars. The best part of the date was watching a guy walk around the entire outdoor patio and try to pick up chicks with his dog. We could see all the girls negative reactions to him as he would try to buy them drinks, get turned down, and move on to the next table of single ladies. It was pretty entertaining.

Thursday the 28th: Today was a pretty relaxed day. The whole group went to the Grand Canyon... except for Scott and I! We figured Joel would not be happy with another day in the car seat, it was over a three hour drive away. So we took the chance to relax by the pool as a family and take it easy. In the afternoon we ventured to my favorite place...IKEA! I will have to say it was the fastest trip through that i've ever experienced, since I was with Scott this time, and not one of my BFFs!
We layed him in the turtle like it was a tube... and he loved it!
